"Anfield loves you", "It's pathetic" - Many Liverpool fans offer support for "king"
The England camp has been overshadowed with controversy during the international break after the incident between Joe Gomez and Raheem Sterling.
Now, the Liverpool fans have got behind their man after boos rang around Wembley when he entered the pitch.
Prior to this, it was reported that the two players, who squared up at Anfield on Sunday, reignited their feud and resulted in a training ground altercation.
At St. George’s Park, emotions seemed to boil over from the weekend, which consequently meant the Manchester City star would have to watch England from the stands on Thursday evening.
However, with Sterling up in the stands, Gomez would enter the pitch late on at Wembley, a substitution which was met with a course of boos around the ground. Sterling was pictured applauding the defender as he came on, but the England fans had a different idea.
As you would expect, the strong Liverpool faithful have shown wonderful support for their star ever since.
One fan said “we are with you”, whilst another supporter said, “they hate on the best”.
