"Fantastic", "Brilliant" - Many Spurs fans blown away by "best angle ever" of iconic goal
Tottenham Hotspur fans have been blown away by a new angle of Lucas Moura’s hat-trick goal against Ajax in the Champions League semi-final last season.
Spurs came from behind to secure a miraculous victory in Amsterdam.
Having lost 1-0 in London, Spurs fell 2-0 behind in the semi-final, but a second-half treble from the Brazilian gave Mauricio Pochettino’s men safe passage through to the final.
His third came in the final minute of injury time, as Fernando Llorente knocked down a long Moussa Sissoko ball forward. Dele Alli then flicked the ball through to Lucas, who sent a first-time effort into the bottom corner, sparking wild scenes on the pitch.
The new angle shows the extent of Spurs’ celebrations – as well as Ajax’s despair – as a number of players mobbed Lucas, including goalkeeper Hugo Lloris, while manager Mauricio Pochettino sprinted onto the pitch to hug left-back Ben Davies.
And fans have expressed their joy at seeing the new angle, filmed from high in the rafters in the Netherlands.
