"He’s rattled and delusional" - Lots of Leicester fans laugh off suggestion from Paul Merson
That’s the problem when you’re near the top.
Everyone else is going to try and do their best to bring you down and disrupt everything that you’re doing.
Speaking to Sky Sports, Paul Merson said that after Brendan Rodgers’ excellent start to life at the King Power Stadium, that Arsenal should be ‘breaking the bank’ to try and bring him in.
Although given Arsenal’s history when it comes to spending, I wouldn’t hold my breath when it comes to that front.
It’s fair to say that Foxes fans weren’t too happy with what they read from Merson, and they took to Twitter to react in one of two ways.

They either laughed at the suggestion that Rodgers would want to leave somewhere like Leicester in the first place, or they condemned the former Gunner for even suggesting it in the first place. Whatever side of the argument they fell on, they didn’t hold back in their views.
Merson said our bubble would burst every week from Nov15 to April16.
He has no regard for the changing times.
Like Utd, Arsenal can no longer buy success. He’s rattled; and delusional. Leicester aren’t.— Paul Toseland (@Grainboy) November 5, 2019
The problem with this is Merson is assuming Rodgers would want to join. What do arsenal have that leicester doesn’t. He’s got great owners, money to spend, talent in abundance in squad, world class training facilities. @arsenal would be 3 to 4 year backward step if their lucky.

Leicester City have become a dream club to manage and play at…. the owners have embedded an ethos and culture that other clubs should copy… community is the heart of any club… most top clubs are franchises now… I may be wrong but Leicester seem to be getting it right.

You find your own Manager and stop trying to nick ours. He wouldn’t want to move any as he’s got a high flying team which he has created.

Love it when all these teams jump on the bandwagon wanting players and managers when they’re doing good🤣

Whilst Leicester fans might not like to hear it, Rodgers has bounced around through his career, indeed when he left Swansea he said that the lure of a big club like Liverpool was too much for him to resist, so it wouldn’t be a big surprise if he did decide to jump ship if he wanted to.
