"If I was Moshiri I'd break the bank to get him" - Some Everton fans want 47y/o to replace Silva

Everton fans have been making their voice heard over the past 24 hours after Mauricio Pochettino was sacked by Tottenham Hotspur.

A number of fans have called for their club to appoint the Champions League finalist in the Everton hot seat, even if many are acknowledging it is an incredibly ambitious suggestion.

For quite a while now, Everton fans have been fuming with Marco Silva and the ‘Silva out’ brigade are certainly a force that won’t go away anytime soon.

The Toffees do, however, currently sit six points clear of the relegation zone, which is the best position they have been in for a few weeks.

Although, despite the signs of improvements, the Toffees faithful are hoping to appoint Pochettino.

The former Spurs man helped propel the club into Champions League regulars, and understandably he is on the minds of many fans.

The Argentine helped the club to a Champions League final last year and helped the Lilywhites to finish in third, second and third in the Premier League.

One fan said the club should break the bank to bring him in, whilst another said “we can only dream” of his services at Everton.

No doubt the 47-year-old will not be short of offers and could even be lured towards joining Manchester United, who he has been so heavily linked with over the past year.

If Everton want Pochettino, they’ll certainly have the backing of their fans if the recent reaction on Twitter is anything to go by…

I, for one, would absolutely love Poch at Everton. He has transformed Tottenham with very little transfer budget. 4 top 4 finishes in 5 years after 2 in the previous 22 years before him isn’t luck.
