Son scores brace as Tottenham seal win over Red Star
Son Heung-Min put an emotional week behind him by scoring a brace in Tottenham’s 4-0 Champions League win over Red Star Belgrade.
After being sent off against Everton at the weekend – a red card which has since been overturned on appeal – Son started the showdown in Serbia, and marked it with a double.
There was also a first Spurs start for Giovani Lo Celso, and it was the summer signing who opened the scoring 34 minutes in after a goalmouth scramble which saw his side hit the post and bar before he was able to fire home.
After the break, Son scored two within the space of four minutes to extend the lead – first after being set up by Dele Alli, and then being on the receiving end of a pass from Danny Rose.
Christian Eriksen added a fourth goal late on, to give Spurs their first win in three games.
