"It's killing us" - Many Celtic fans voice concern over "poor" display from 34-cap international
James Forrest played for 82 minutes on Saturday afternoon as Celtic recorded a 2-1 win over Aberdeen in the Scottish Premiership.
Odsonne Edouard scored the game’s vital goal in the second period – netting from a Ryan Christie assist to ensure that the Hoops would triumph.
Forrest was again deployed on the left for the champions with Olivier Ntcham in the number 10 spot and Ryan Christie down the right.

However, it would be fair to say that the club’s supporters were not overly pleased with Forrest’s spot in the team, with many insisting that he must be moved to the opposite side in order to show his best form.
I’ve said this many time, I don’t like the balance with Ntcham playing at the same time as Christie.
I want Forrest on RW
Johnstone on the LWEither take Ntcham or MacGregor off and the other can play in the middle with Brown#Celtic

When will we realise that Christie needs to be thru the middle n Forrest on the right? We are killing 2 players to accommodate 1🤷🏼♂️🍀#Celtic

Don’t put Forrest on the left again. So much better on the right. #CELABE #CELTIC

100% agree. Get Christie back through the middle, Forrest back on the right and MJ on the left.

Thoughts on the game: Best I’ve seen Ajer play in months. Boli looked good too. We need to stop playing Forrest out left and Christie out right, it’s killing us. Griffiths is finished at Celtic, we need serious competition for Edouard ASAP.

However, some of the Celtic supporters do not wish to use Forrest’s position as an excuse, with some insisting that the attacker was simply not good enough on the day.
The 28-year-old’s numbers this season are fairly spectacular, scoring 13 times and contributing 16 assists in 33 appearances in all competitions.
That said, the 34-cap Scotland international is without a goal in his last five appearances in the Scottish Premiership.
Yeah Christie more effective as a 10, Forrest better on the right but still think he was poor the day and missed at least three chances, Johnston more effective Lennon made the changes and good three points 😁🍀👌

Don’t give James Forrest the disservice of attributing his poor performances to his position on the field.
He is playing poorly because he himself is not performing to his ability.
Unfortunately there is no real competition for his position as Shved is in exile.

Next up for Celtic is a trip to St Mirren on Boxing Day before ending 2019 with a home game against Rangers on December 29.
Meanwhile, the Scottish champions might have to fight off Premier League interest for one of their key players during the January transfer window.
