"Not a Jose player" - Many Spurs fans discuss "enigma" who "needs to be dropped"
Lucas Moura is a player that seemingly has Tottenham Hotspur’s fanbase completely baffled and for the most part, divided, and they have been discussing him on Twitter again.
Is it harsh to say Moura’s only had three good games for Spurs?

Of course, we know that he has scored some incredible and important goals ever since arriving in London and his Champions League heroics cannot and should not be forgotten.

But when everything is said and done, many of their supporters can’t really understand him as a player – he can play well and score bangers, after all, he’s scored five goals across all competitions in 2019/20 as well, but at the same time, he can be anonymous and do practically nothing.
This has prompted many of them to discuss whether he’s actually a good player for Spurs or not.
And many are not really that happy with him…
3 ?
Man United and Ajax. What game is the 3rd one ?— Darren Stansbury (@StansburyDarren) December 24, 2019
I’d say 3 is being generous pal

He flatters to desive all the time and is always on the edge of the game. I find him very frustrating

He doesn’t work hard enough, not a Jose player for that. shame really cause the talent is there.

But that’s the problem with him – sometimes, he is incredibly good and shows up for the biggest of occasions, only to completely disappear in the very next game.
No clues whatsoever: Which seasons do these iconic Spurs images belong to?
For that reason, one fan even called him an “enigma”, suggesting you never know what you will get with him, and one other supporter also thinks there are aspects of his play that are largely underrated.
Too often anonymous. On the rare occasion he can be awesome. On balance he can be improved upon.

He is alright. Shows upon big occasions.

He’s an enigma, it’s not even that he plays badly – he just disappears some games. He and Son just don’t drop back like you need players too.

Moura’s workrate is MASSIVELY underrated. On Sunday Moura had an absolute nightmare, easily his worst game for Tottenham. If you don’t think he’s good enough you’re going to have a very disappointing life.

And finally, some fans have concluded that he is best used as an impact sub – starting from the bench and then entering with his energy and will to turn the tides back in Spurs’ favour.

No David it isn’t. He’s an impact player from the bench only unfortunately. He along with some others needs to be dropped
— Richard Hayes (@richardhayes46) December 24, 2019
He plays best as a super sub
