"Rather see him in the team than Eriksen": Many Spurs fans laud man who "will thrive under Jose"
Erik Lamela has truly been unlucky with injuries this season and he is yet to fully recover from the hamstring issue he sustained back in October.

To some fans, that might be bad news, considering that the 27-year-old Argentine is often a big target for harsh criticism by the Spurs faithful but there are still some who believe he can bring something good to the team.
Upon seeing this official update on the player’s fitness, many of them showered him with praise, saying that they can’t wait for his return…
I dont care that I will get abuse for this, I cant wait to see Lamela back. 👍🏼

A positive thinking creative footballer who always looks to move the ball forwards quickly!

He shows the kind of heart some of the others sadly lack.

Some of the fans don’t pretend that there are no issues with the player – such as his injury record – but he is still a player who gives his all to the team whenever he’s on the pitch.
Mourinho’s produced some incredible footballing stars – how much do you know about them?
One fan even stated that he would pick Lamela over Christian Eriksen if he was given a choice.
Totally agree. We needed someone with his energy yesterday, doesn’t stop running and always puts in a shift. No one did that yesterday. Would rather see him in the team than Eriksen or Sissoko

I’m with you. He might be injury prone but he certainly puts in effort in every game 👍🏻

I like the way he plays, albeit sporadically but works hard, contributes with goals and assists.

Finally, one fan concluded that the Argentine winger just might thrive under Mourinho’s leadership and that the Special One could potentially turn him into a great player in the future.
