"Nice one Levy", "Disgrace" - Many Spurs fans react to reported January transfer budget

Tottenham are in need of reinforcements having already lost seven times in 21 league games this season, and supporters aren’t pleased with the reported January transfer budget.

According to the Daily Mail Jose Mourinho will be given £60m to use for player recruitment, which would present quite a significant outlay for a mid-season spend by Spurs’ standards.

The fact that players like Christian Eriksen and Jan Vertonghen could leave does make additions necessary, with the squad lacking depth up-front and at right-back – with Harry Kane’s injury only making that situation worse.

However, fans don’t feel it is enough to address the current problems, and some have criticised Daniel Levy in response to the news, as they feel their new manager ought to be given a larger budget to work with.

Tottenham have been linked with the likes of Nathan Ferguson and Max Aarons, two young English prospects who will each likely demand a high price from their respective clubs, with Norwich setting Aarons’ price at £45m.
