An England international, aged just 23, and with plenty of top-flight experience, Winks certainly fits the bill of what United appeared to be going for in the summer transfer window. If the Red Devils are intent on continuing this approach on buying young, home-grown players, they could do a lot worse than a swoop for a midfielder who has played 79 games in the Premier League and 27 matches in European competitions. It would be a signing that matches the profile of what they are supposedly looking for, and in a position they could do with some reinforcements.
