"Under Arteta would be a monster" - Many Arsenal fans react to link with "underrated" PL player
According to a recent report from The Telegraph, Arsenal are one of the clubs interested in acquiring the services of Bournemouth’s young defender, Nathan Ake.
The 24-year-old Dutch centre-back has played a total of 16 games across all competitions in 2019/20, prior to a recent injury, even managing to bag one goal and one assist in the process.

The same source understands that the Gunners are not the only ones interested as they could face some competition from bitter rivals Chelsea.
Still, Arsenal fans were heavily discussing this potential transfer and many of them seem to think Ake would indeed be a great signing. Firstly, he’s left-footed and Premier League proven with 133 top flight outings under his belt and for those reasons, he could actually be a rather good choice for Mikel Arteta.
The good thing about Nathan Aké is that he’s left footed. We don’t have any of those

I’d take Ake over Upamecano, left-footed, fast, used to PL and can sub in at LB, knows Luiz well.

…and he is used to playing in the Premier League. No adjustment period needed.

Aké is so underrated by a lot of people, the guy is so good honestly. Can play leftback and centreback both really easy and is also rarely injured. Hes prem proven, only problem that hes not the tallest player.

I’d get Ake. Premier league proven players are where we should go. Those who understand the league and can deal with the intensity. Any players from outside the prem can be eased into the team. Like Klopp has done with Liverpool

One fan believes Arteta could potentially turn Ake into a real monster on the pitch and another thinks he could become their very own version of Liverpool’s Joe Gomez, who is a fixture on the England scene as well.

But there are also people who are not in favour of this transfer – some were saying that Ake is a waste of money and that Arsenal targeting him even means that they are finished as a club.

Likewise, Ake’s big weakness is his height, measuring in at 5 foot 11, and some Gunners fans were quick to pick up on that too.
He’s also tiny.
